Burak started in the beauty industry when she was 15 years old.
She started work in a prominent salon, and was trained by Cookie
Messere, one of the pioneers of the nail business. Under the training
of Ms. Messere, Lois' natural talents expanded to other services:
make-up applications and waxing. Lois also managed the first Nailery
in Center City Philadelphia, and went on to be a nail educator for
Glemby International Salons. She also has backround
in film and communications.
 Her
creative and intuitive eye is what keeps BeautyWorx
on the cutting edge.She is the style coordinator for all photo shoots
and makeovers along with photographer & director of marketing.
Lois showcases the talents of The BeautyWorx
staff through many of the creative or whimsical advertisements.
Lois foresaw the need for a salon that could be everything to everyone:
a neighborhood salon where clients could feel comfortable indulging
in spa services, serviced by beauty professionals top in their field.
BeautyWorx is a salon where beauty
professionals who have a natural talent and true love for the business
receive advanced education and are encouraged to express creativity
through their work.
