Britney Spears Relation in NE Philly!

Lois Burak, owner of BeautyWorx Salon and Day Spa of Mayfair, has a celebrity connection -- she and teen pop sensation Britney Spears are cousins! Burak's aunt, Naomi Breland, recently welcomed Spears' grandfather, June Austin, for a visit.

Janice and Rick Hardy of Feasterville, PA were the guests of Home Delivery, as well as the recipients of makeovers at BeautyWorx! Janice wanted to see Rick receive a long-overdue haircut and a new look.

BeautyWorx Annual Makeover Contest Winners

2005 NewsGleaner Makeover Contest Winner Hair by Diana Santiago, Makeup and Brow by Amy Hutton Lorraine Straw before (left) and after (right) her makeover. Diana works on Lorraine Lorraine after her facial Lorraine during the finishing touches Lorraine's hair had recently been cut and home colored...so we really didn't feel she should go any shorter in length. The cut Diana gave her, though, does not photograph much differently then the before shot. We felt she needed to update the short cut into a hipper version of what she had. Diana took a lot of bulk out around the ears. Lorraine has a beautiful jaw line and check bones which we feel the new cut accentuates Staying in the same color family, Diana livened up the color with a slightly more vibrant reddish brown, and added a few tone-on-tone highlights that are so subtle, they cause Lorraine's beautiful blue eyes to pop, and are now what you see first when she enters a room.
